Description
The Vika is a white glass shade on a brass fitting, and it is deliberately quiet. No color, no visible hardware beyond the collar and the rod. That is what makes it work in a kitchen that already has a lot going on, or in a hallway where the fixture should not be the thing you notice.
Milk glass is the practical choice as well as the pretty one. It diffuses through the body of the glass rather than off a coating, so the bulb never shows as a bright point, and it hides dust far better than clear glass in a room where nobody is getting a ladder out often.
There are two shade profiles, and the difference is worth understanding before you choose. The rounded profile is a classic schoolhouse bell, softer and more traditional, and comes at 8.9 inches. The stepped profile is more angular, with tiered shoulders that read a little more deco, and comes at 9.4 or 11.4 inches. All three hang on 59 inches of wire so the drop is set at installation.

Rounded or stepped
The rounded profile is a classic schoolhouse bell, softer and more traditional. The stepped profile has tiered shoulders and reads a little more deco. They are different shades, not two sizes of one.
Practical as well as pretty
Milk glass diffuses through the body of the glass rather than off a coating, so the bulb never shows as a bright point, and it hides dust far better than clear glass overhead.

Frequently Asked Questions
What bulb does it take?
One E26 medium base bulb, the standard household size. Bulbs are not included. Because the glass is opaque, the bulb style does not show, so choose on brightness and color temperature alone.
