Description
The Tessara Loop takes its name from the arm. A single tube of copper rises from the backplate, curves under in a long U, and lifts the marble shade back up and clear of the wall. The result reads as one continuous line rather than a bracket holding a shade, and it is the most sculptural of the seven shapes.
At 13 in tall and 7.9 in deep it belongs at eye level: above a console, on a stair landing, beside a bed. The shade is natural marble, cut from quarried stone, and marble is translucent, so it carries the light rather than blocking it. The veining inside shows as soft cloudy movement whenever the fixture is on, and because every shade is cut from stone the pattern and tone differ from one piece to the next. The body is copper, finished either as copper or as black.
It takes an E26 (Standard Medium Base) bulb, included and supplied at a warm 3000K, with a knob switch on the fixture. It is built for LED and is not dimmable, so run it from a standard wall switch. That is the temperature marble reads best at. It wires directly into the wall on 110V-120V and is not rated for wet locations.
