Description
Solena is a small pleated shade lamp on a turned wood stem with a brushed metal foot. The shade is finely pleated rather than smooth, so the light breaks into narrow vertical bands and the whole thing reads as a miniature of a much larger traditional lamp. The wood is left pale and unstained, which keeps it from looking heavy at this size, and the metal foot gives it enough weight to stay put on a shelf.
It is genuinely small: 11.8 inches tall with a 4.7 inch shade. That makes it an accent rather than a working light, right for a nightstand beside a bigger lamp, a shelf, a windowsill, a hallway console, or a pair flanking something on a sideboard. Buy it for atmosphere in a corner, not to read by, and note that the photographs make it look larger than it is.
The bulb is not included and the fitting takes up to 20W, so the light is your choice rather than ours; a warm white suits the scale and the material best. A push button switches it and it is not dimmable. The lamp plugs straight in with a cord and a US plug, so there is no wiring to do, and it works particularly well in pairs where a single small lamp would look lost. Indoor dry locations only.

Smaller than the photos suggest
11.8 inches tall with a 4.7 inch shade, so Solena is an accent rather than a working light. Right for a nightstand beside a bigger lamp, a shelf or a windowsill.
Better in pairs
One small lamp can look lost on a sideboard or hallway console. Two flanking something give the arrangement symmetry and spread the glow across the whole surface.
Pleats, not a smooth shade
The finely pleated fabric breaks the light into narrow vertical bands instead of a flat wash. At this scale it reads as a miniature of a much larger traditional lamp.
