Description
The Nella pairs a carved travertine sphere with a linen drum shade, and the contrast is the whole design. The stone is heavy, pitted and cool; the shade is light, woven and warm. Put them together and each one makes the other more obvious than it would be alone.
It is a small lamp. At nine and a half inches tall it belongs on a bedside table, a hallway console or a shelf, not on a desk you actually work at.
