Juno | Travertine and Walnut Kitchen Island Pendant Light

The Juno is a small drum banded in pale travertine above and dark walnut below, hung on a long cord and open at the bottom so the light falls straight down. One over a bedside table, or two or three strung along a kitchen island, spaced how you want them. At under seven inches across each shade is deliberately small, so a row reads as a rhythm across a surface rather than one large fixture dominating the room.

The travertine is what carries it. The stone is porous and tonally uneven, so the band on each shade has its own pitting and color and no two match exactly. Because light leaves the open base rather than passing through the stone, you get a defined pool on the surface below while the shade itself stays soft and matte above it.

If you already have the Elin on a ceiling elsewhere in the house, this is the same material language in pendant form. The cord runs 59 inches so it can hang low over an island or be shortened at installation. It takes a standard E27 bulb up to 7W per head, and a push button switch on the fitting lets you dim it.
