Description
The Greta is a plump rounded glass shade that sits just below the ceiling on a short stem. It is semi flush rather than a pendant, so it works in a room with no height to give away and still puts something worth looking at overhead.
The shade is much wider than it is tall, with a flat diffuser across the underside. Light leaves through that opening as a soft pool on the floor while the body of the glass glows from within, which is what stops it reading as a builder fitting. Hand blown and polished, so the wall thickness varies slightly across the shade and the light coming through is uneven in a way machine pressed glass never is.
Amber warms everything passing through it and throws a golden cast; white stays closer to whatever bulb you put in. Brass reads warm against both glass colors, chrome keeps it cooler and more modern.
