Description
The Edda Cylinder is a solid travertine shade hung from a turned wood cap, cut as a tall narrow cylinder: 4.3 in across and 6.5 in high. It is a small, heavy, quiet light. The stone holds the glow inside and throws it straight down, so it lights a surface without washing the whole room.
This is the one to run in a row. At 4.3 in across, three along a kitchen island read as rhythm rather than clutter, and the narrow profile keeps sightlines across the counter open. It also drops neatly into a tight bedside corner where a wider shade would crowd the wall.
The stone carries it. Travertine is porous and tonally uneven, so every shade pits and bands its own way and no two hang alike. The wood cap above is either a pale natural tone or a darker walnut, and the pairing is what keeps the stone from reading cold.
It hangs from a braided fabric cable that runs 70.9 in and sets to height at installation rather than being cut to length, which is the detail that makes a row of three line up properly. The socket is a standard E26 medium base and the bulb is sold separately.

Stone against wood
Travertine is porous and tonally uneven, so every shade pits and bands its own way. The wood cap above it keeps the stone from reading cold.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it come with a bulb?
No. The socket is a standard E26 medium base and the bulb is sold separately, so you can pick the brightness and the tone that suit the room. A warm 2700K to 3000K bulb is what the travertine reads best under.
