The Bellora Cone is the wide one. The ceramic shade is fluted and flares out to 8.7 in across while staying only 3.5 in deep, which is the shape that throws light down and out rather than straight down. Over a counter or an island that is the difference between a lit work surface and a bright spot in the middle of it.
It is the only shade in the Bellora family wide enough to read as a counter pendant on its own. The shade is unglazed looking white ceramic on iron hardware with a brass finish, hung from a braided cord that adjusts up to 39 in (1 m). That is enough drop to get from a standard ceiling to counter height without an electrician shortening anything.
It takes a standard E26 bulb, not included, and is built for an LED. The fixture is not dimmable, so run it from a standard wall switch. The maker rates the shade at roughly 108 to 161 sq ft of coverage, though with no bulb in the box the real figure follows whichever bulb you fit. Buy the pack of two if you are running a pair over an island or flanking a bed. Light assembly is required, and it is for indoor dry locations only.
